01 HHS to open vaccine-injury research clinic.
Health Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is launching a federal effort to study vaccine side effects, including a new research clinic at the National Institutes of Health. The initiative would also create a billing code so doctors get reimbursed for reporting serious reactions, a step that could fill gaps in the current tracking system. Kennedy visited the NIH this week to meet with patients who believe they were harmed by vaccines.
Vaccine injuries are said to be rare, but they do happen, and patients who experience them often say the medical system dismisses them.

02 FDA delays abortion pill safety review until 2027.
The FDA announced this week it will not finish its safety review of mifepristone, the most common abortion pill, until March 2027. That is more than two years after Health Secretary RFK Jr. and former FDA Commissioner Marty Makary first promised to study the drug. The agency says it is still collecting data and will not consider changing any rules until the study wraps.
President Biden loosened mifepristone's safety guardrails, and some research suggests complications have risen since. One large study found more than one in ten women who take the pill experience serious side effects like hemorrhage or infection.

A CRM so smart, it updates itself.
HubSpot's CRM is so smart, it now updates itself. Calls get logged and summarized the moment they end. New leads get researched and a first outreach drafted, automatically. Deals move forward on their own, with next steps flagged before you have to ask.
Even the one repetitive task you've been meaning to fix can now run itself, no code required. Customers using it are already seeing the difference.
This isn't the CRM you have to work hard to figure out. It's the one already working before you log in.
03 Frequent cannabis use linked to worse outcomes in epilepsy patients.
A new study in the journal Epilepsia looked at 64 people with drug-resistant epilepsy, the kind where seizures keep happening even after trying multiple medications. Researchers compared patients who used cannabis at least 20 days a month to those who did not use it at all.
The frequent users had more severe seizures, needed more medications, and were admitted to specialized monitoring units much sooner after their diagnosis (five years versus 18 years for nonusers).

Eli Lilly and Novo Nordisk say their weight-loss drugs slow biological aging by about two to three years, based on molecular "aging clocks" that track DNA changes and protein levels. The findings, shared at a longevity research conference, add evidence that GLP-1 drugs may act on basic causes of aging.
PhRMA, the drug-industry lobbying group, sued the Trump administration over its most-favored-nation pricing rule for Medicare, calling it an illegal import of foreign price controls. The rule, set to take effect in January 2027, would base Medicare drug prices on average sales prices across 19 other countries.
Your genes may explain why your LDL spiked on a low-carb diet while your friend's stayed flat. A preliminary analysis of a clinical trial found that people with higher genetic risk for elevated LDL saw bigger cholesterol jumps when they ate more saturated fat on a low-carb plan.
