01 A new study links COVID shots in kids to higher rates of autism and ADHD.
A study posted this week analyzed National Health Interview Survey data on nearly 22,000 children. It found kids who received the COVID vaccine were 32 percent more likely to have an autism diagnosis and 33 percent more likely to have ADHD than kids who did not.
Among children ages 5 to 7 who got 3 or more shots, the odds of a current autism diagnosis were 154 percent higher than in unvaccinated kids that age. The authors, including epidemiologist Nicolas Hulscher of the McCullough Foundation, are calling for an immediate halt to childhood COVID vaccination.
02 Democrats are courting MAHA voters on food, not vaccines.
Democrats are building a playbook to win Make America Healthy Again voters ahead of the midterms. Party leaders have been meeting with MAHA activists and rolling out food and environmental agendas to pull them in.
Candidates are focusing on food toxins, including dyes and chemicals, and staying away from vaccine injury claims, one of RFK Jr.'s signature issues. Pollsters say the vaccine issue polls as fringe and the food issue does not. Dyes are on the agenda. Vaccine injury is not.

03 Same calories, different blood sugar response.
Virginia Tech researchers gave healthy adults 2 meals with the same calories, carbs, fat, protein, water, and salt. The first meal was ultraprocessed: deli turkey, veggie chips, and instant mashed potatoes. The other was minimally processed: banana, cheese, egg, and dried cranberries. The nutrition labels would look nearly identical.
After the ultraprocessed meal, participants released more insulin, their blood sugar stayed elevated longer, and they burned less carbohydrates for fuel. Brain scans showed different activity in the reward system, too. This suggests that processing itself, not just what is in the food, changes how your body handles it.

Pregnant women exposed to heatwaves face 25 percent higher odds of stillbirth, preterm delivery, or low birth weight, according to a survey of 1,000 doctors and midwives across 5 countries. A 1°C bump in heat exposure raises the chance of early birth by about 5 percent.
Cheese and yogurt eaters had 19 percent to 28 percent less knee osteoarthritis than people who ate none, a large observational study found. Plain milk showed no such link; researchers credit the live bacteria and postbiotics that survive fermentation.
